We both have exciting projects we're currently involved in - have a look.

Habitat for Humanity

Last year Habitat for Humanity Toronto launched its inaugural Women Build Program, where girls and women will raise over one million dollars and build 10 homes for families in need.
Lisa R. participated during the Womens Blitz Build from May 1st-9th, 2009 and volunteered as a Crew Leader putting her renovations skills to work.

The Tri Adventure

Lisa and Lisa are both part of a team of 40 courageous athletes that will embark on the 6th Annual Tri-Adventure. This is Lisa H's third year participating in this fabulous event!

This challenging, fun three-day triathlon helps to ease the pain of HIV/AIDS in Africa at the grassroots level, At each leg of the journey, participants are fully supported with food, drink, safety personnel and equipment. All you need is a bike, a bathing suit and the desire to make a significant contribution.  "We really believe in this cause; money raised is sent directly to places that need it most".

Events included a 3 kilometres swim (or 15 kilometres run), a 15 kilometres canoe and a 140 kilometre cycle finishing off at Ashbridges Bay Park in Toronto.

This is a unique event where 100% of the sponsorship money raised goes directly to the Charity selected. All money raised will support the Nikibasika Children Learning and Development Project (through CACHA) - a home for 51 vulnerable children in Kasese, Uganda who have been impacted by HIV/AIDS or civil war.
